Get ready to have hours of fun tearing, cutting and pasting paper with abandon! Explore basic collage techniques and styles as you experiment with instructor-led torn and cut paper projects. Then, building on the technique or style you like best, create a collage of your choice.
All supplies will be provided. Just come ready to play! (Optional—bring a printed photo of yourself, family, friend or pet to include in a collage). This workshop is suitable for adults and older teens, for all skill and experience levels, and for anyone who just wants to spend some time creating and having fun. |

About Sonja Brooks:
This workshop will be taught by instructor Sonja Brooks, a Lexington, KY artist. Sonja is an exhibiting and teaching artist, as well as co-founder and Director of Sisohpromatem Art Foundation Inc. (SAF, Inc.), a non-profit organization founded in Lexington, Kentucky in 2003. In both roles she encourages children and adults to explore the fun of art making and its power to nourish growth and change. Sonja has made and exhibited art for over 30 years. Combining paper and fabric with a variety of found treasures she’s been collecting for years, she creates collages, soft dolls, jewelry and altered books. |
