DESCENT TO TAYLOR LAKE
fiber, needle-felted wool
30x15 inches (33x18 inches framed)
Descent to Taylor Lake features the grand finale of the Colorado Trail: the descent to Taylor Lake that marks the beginning of the westbound hiker’s descent to the trail’s terminus. In the foreground, the trail winds its way past rocky outcroppings and alpine vegetation, down from the ridgeline to a green meadow, where Taylor Lake beckons on a warm afternoon. The final hills between Denver and Durango rise in the distance, dotted with trees and a few stubborn patches of snow.
