Join UK Opera Director Dr Everett McCorvey and UK Opera Coach Dr Tedrin Blair Lindsay for this once-in-a-lifetime 6-day/5 night trip to St. Louis to enjoy all four productions of the St. Louis Opera Theatre’s 2019 season; Rigoletto, Marriage of Figaro, Fire Shut Up In My Bones, and Coronation of Poppea. Stay in St. Louis at the newly renovated Chase Park Plaza hotel situated on the edge of verdant Forest Park in the heart of the city. Artfully blending old and new, the property incorporates four restaurants, a Salon and Spa, Fitness Center and an outdoor heated swimming pool surrounded by fountains and stone-carved porticoes.
In addition to nightly opera attendance there will be an opportunity to visit the St. Louis Art Museum, famous for one of the finest collections of original works of art spanning five millennia and six continents. Tour the 79-acre Missouri Botanical Garden, an oasis in the city and the nation’s oldest botanical garden in continuous operation. Ride to the top of the iconic Gateway Arch. Relax and enjoy lunch on a leisurely paddle-boat cruise up the mighty Mississippi, watch a St. Louis Cardinal's baseball game (optional) and be entertained with a behind-the-scene with St. Louis Opera's cast and directors.
The cost of the trip excluding travel to and from St. Louis is $1,800 per person double occupancy (two queen beds/one king) with a $400 supplement for single room occupancy.
This is a six day trip and includes five nights at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel, most meals, all tickets to the Operas and admissions to other attractions, taxes, gratuities and ground transportation while in St. Louis.
The trip will officially start at 6:00pm with a Meet and Greet at the Hotel on Tuesday, 18th June. The first Opera will be a matinee performance on Wednesday and the subsequent three are all evening performances.
