Over the past 20 years, Noa Gimelli has established herself as an effective advocate, collaborator, and expert in the areas of female economic participation, community investments, and private sector development, serving in various roles focused on policy development and implementation as well as project management.
Noa has held positions at the World Bank (WB) where she has been responsible for ensuring that loans and advisory projects consider women’s role and participation in the economy; ExxonMobil, where she oversaw the Corporate Foundation’s signature initiatives and was Manager for Corporate Citizenship; and the Council on Foreign Relations, where she ran the Washington DC’s programs department.
Noa holds an M.A. from Harvard’s Kennedy School and a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University.
Since moving to Lexington KY in 2018, Noa has been involved in the community by volunteering her time with several local organizations. She currently serves as a Board Member of Gods Pantry and the Bluegrass Community Foundation but where she spends the bulk of her time is Chairing of the Fund for Greater Lexington. FGL is endowment for Fayette County that is held at the Bluegrass Community Foundation. The Fund for Greater Lexington’s Advisory Board is focused on investing in and incubating transformational projects to benefit the citizens of Lexington.
