ON THE VERGE creates site-specific experiences that put you right in the room where it happens. Theiraudiences step into worlds conceived by playwrights classic and contemporary, from Chekhov, Shakespeare and Ibsen to Hellman, Reza and Ephron. Worlds brought to vivid life in historic homes and gardens, funeral parlors, boutiques, chapels and even a former gym. Their projects vary widely but all are powered by exceptional actors, designers and technicians, who it has been our principle and privilege to compensate from day one. 
Ave Lawyer talks about the  theatre company ON THE VERGE that she co-formed sixteen years ago with a group of local actors.  Still going strong they have just announced their new production, the much loved historical drama THE LION IN WINTER that will open late January and be performed at the Luigart Studios.
It’s Christmas Eve and the Plantagenets are spoiling for a fight. At stake, absolute control of the family business. At odds, the aging CEO, his young mistress, his estranged wife, his ambitious sons, his bitter rival.
It’s a battle royale with no rules of engagement. A hostile takeover with no holds barred. A struggle for succession as old as time and as modern as this moment.
And because it's On The Verge, expect an exciting new site-specific staging in an unconventional performance space.
